When Lion Apparel moved back to Beattyville to reopen their factory in our community, we partnered with them to establish an internship program for our students. Our first student, Dylan Watts, was eager to apply and started working in the Lion Apparel factory in January of 2022. He worked hard learning many skills and today signed a letter of intent to work there full time beginning on June 6. We would like to thank Dylan’s family, Lion Apparel employees Diane Best, Ava McIntosh, and Dustin Howell, Mayor Scott Jackson, and our school and district administration for coming out to support Dylan as he takes this next step in what will hopefully be a lifelong career. We also thank Lion Apparel for giving our students this opportunity.
