Lee County School District currently has one full-time school nurse that serves both Lee County Elementary and Middle/High School. The School Health & Wellness Department strives to reduce any health related concerns that may create a barrier to the child's learning.
Health Concerns
Please contact the school nurse if your child has any health concerns, including allergies, asthma, seizures, diabetes, emotional issues or any other medical need that may require attention during the school day.
Immunization Requirements
All students must show they are in compliance with the Kentucky Immunization Program to attend Lee County Schools.
School Health & Wellness Grant
Lee County School District has received a School Health & Wellness Grant that focuses on the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model. The WSCC Model has ten components: Health Education, Physical Education & Physical Activity, Nutrition Environment & Services, Health Services, Social & Emotional Climate, Counseling, Psychological & Social Services, Physical Environment, Employee Wellness, Family Engagement, and Community Involvement.
There is a committee that meets regularly to assess the needs of the schools and help determine where funds should be allocated. If you are interested in joining the committee please contact Darian Creech (contact info below).
