Local Wellness Policy Public Forum

On January 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM EST there will be a meeting involving the current Local Wellness Policy to discuss and update as required and the Nutrition and Physical Activity Assessment findings.  All interested individuals are invited to attend the meeting. The meeting will take place at the Lee County Board of Education.

Lee County Schools Food Services and Nutrition program provides nutritious meals for breakfast and lunch daily for our students. We are committed to making sure all our students are fully prepared for academic success by not having to be hungry throughout the school day. All meals and a la carte items meet strict nutritional guidelines set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

All schools in the Lee County School District are part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP allows all students to participate in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program at no cost.

Lee County Public Schools Food Service is one of 96,000 school districts participating in the National School Lunch Program (established in 1946) and one of 72,000 districts participating in the School Breakfast Program (established in 1966). It is one of many self -supporting programs throughout the nation, receiving no funding through the district's general fund.
