🩸 Calling All Life Savers! 🩸
The Lee County ATC HOSA is hosting a Blood Drive
📍 Lee County ATC
📅 Wednesday, October 8
⏰ 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
We invite all community members to come out and help donate life.
✨ Preferred donation time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
But we welcome you anytime during the drive!
💡 Blood Donation Fun Fact:
The Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) aims for 400 pints of blood every day, and one pint can save up to three lives. Platelets—vital for cancer patients and accident victims—have a short shelf life and are always in demand.
Your donation could be the gift someone is waiting for.
Be a hero. Save a life. Give blood.

Cow Eyeball Dissection at ATC
Last Thursday, Eric Collins and Deborah Dunaway from the Lee County UK Extension Office partnered with Mrs. Kelley's Body Structures and Functions class to provide a hands-on cow eyeball dissection. Students explored the anatomy of the eye and carefully dissected its different parts.
To make the day even more memorable, Deborah treated everyone to a fun “eyeball” snack made from grapes. We are grateful for their support of our students and for creating such a unique and engaging learning experience!

We are excited to announce that we have set the date for our annual Student Showcase. Our students work hard throughout the year, and this is their chance to showcase their work to the community.
Put this on your calendar and plan to attend!

Lee County ATC had 17 students pass TheTRACK Pre-Apprentice Exam in three different programs Carpentry, Welding, and Electricity. The students passing this test will be allowed to start in a program as a second-year Apprenticeship. We are so proud of the hard work of these students over their time at the ATC.

*Student Spotlight Tuesday*
Today we visited student Gavin Fox in the electrical program at Lee ATC. Gavin is currently in Electrical Construction 2 and has previously completed Electrical Construction 1 and is CORE certified.
Gavin's teacher Mr. Thacker and fellow student Elijah Ratliff are who he claims has influenced him to join the program When asked what Gavin loves about the program he says, "I know what to do!"
Mr. Thacker commented that Gain is a hard worker, eager to always get involved, and a people person.
