In Mrs. Caudill’s 8th grade ELA class, students have been exploring the concept of theme—the central message or lesson that a story conveys. To practice this skill, students analyzed children’s books, which often present clear and meaningful themes in simple yet powerful ways. By identifying the underlying messages in these stories, students strengthened their ability to interpret more complex texts and articulate how authors communicate deeper ideas through characters, conflicts, and events.
Lee County Middle High School will proudly honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes during our Veterans Day Celebration. We invite all veterans to stop by on Monday, November 10th, 2025 from 10am-1pm, for a small gift, as we express our gratitude and celebrate their commitment to protecting our freedom.

8th grade escorts are encouraged to be there by 7 PM.

The VolleyKats finished 3-1 today in the Buckhorn Lake Classic. Finished 2nd place bringing home a trophy.

The Lee County FFA took part in All in For Ag Education Week by visiting Lee County Elementary and spending time with the kindergarten classes. FFA members read farm-themed books to the students and led fun, interactive discussions about different farm animals and their importance. The activity helped introduce young children to agriculture in an engaging way, while also showing the role farmers and animals play in everyday life.

Together, we want students and families to know: you are not alone, and there are always safe people and resources available to listen and help.

Our students (and teachers!) got hands-on with technology this week as a Texas Instruments representative visited LCMHS to teach us how to program Innovator Rovers using graphing calculators!
From writing code to watching their rovers roll, students explored real-world applications of math, coding, and problem-solving—all while having a blast. A huge thank you to GearUp for bringing this interactive STEM experience to our classrooms!
We want to congratulate our Cross Country team for their performance last night. In the High School Relay: Riley and Cole placed 1st, Thomas and Carter finished 6th, Canaan and Jase 10th! In the Middle School: Coby placed 3rd Anthony 5th!

In reference to a safety concerns, Lee County Middle High School would like to ask that all parents treat the street behind the high school as a one-way street between 7:45 and 8:30 am and between 3:00 and 3:45 pm. LCMHS parent pick ups will only use one door for dismissal this year, which is the same door used for drop-off, located behind the high school cafeteria with the awning. This will allow students to move more freely while only having to watch for moving traffic coming from one direction.
