Hi everyone!
My name is Moriah Vazquez (Mashburn), and I am so excited to be joining Lee County Elementary as a 3rd grade teacher!
I grew up in Lee County and attended Lee County Schools my entire life, graduating from Lee County High School in May 2023. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in May 2026 with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
I am very thankful to have the opportunity to start my teaching career in the same community that I grew up in and to give back to the community that has always been home to me. It is also very special to now be working alongside some of the teachers who taught me when I was a student.
Outside of school, I recently got married this June and enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, and hosting family and friends at my house.
I am so thankful to our principal and everyone at Lee County Elementary for welcoming me and giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to getting to know my students and their families and making lots of wonderful memories this school year!
