Woolly Worm 5K Run/Walk/Crawl

 Lee ATC Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) along with Juniper Health and Marcum Wallace Hospital will be Hosting the 6th annual Woolly Worm 5K run/walk/crawl in Beattyville KY at the Volunteer Fire Department on Hwy 11 on October 21, 2017. 

Registration begins at 7:00 am with the race starting at 8am.

 Participants may pre-register by calling Tammy Combs at 606-464-5018 or race forms are available on the Lee County Area Technology website page. 

Entry fee is $20.00 per racer which includes a t-shirt.

Proceeds go to provide a scholarship for a Senior HOSA member and fund HOSA activities throughout the year.

LEE COUNTY ATC FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA
            On Friday, March 4, 2011, the Lee County ATC Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the Region 6 Leadership Conference at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. Sixteen students competed in various events throughout the day. Those attending included Paige Brinegar, Sara Couch, Brittany Goosey, Sue Hayes, Sally Hollon, Desiree Lawrence, Nikki Liesegang, Jamie Mays, Mara Meyer, Shawna Moore, Nevin Olinger, Brittany Parker, Dontarius Pitman, Gabrielle Reece, Shannon Spencer, and Morgan Withers. Advisor Becky Mullins was assisted by chaperones Willie Addison, Teresa Brinegar, and Kendra Savage.

Student Showcase to be held February 3rd Lee County Area Technology Center's Student Showcase is scheduled for February 3rd. Skills USA Competitive events in Automotive, Carpentry, Electricity and Welding will be from 3:00 - 6:00 pm.
Accounting, Office Technology, and Health Sciences will have demonstrations and showcase sessions from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. An awards presentation will follow.
The public is invited to join us for the entire showcase or at any point during the activities.

FBLA Students Attend National Conference FBLA Students
Lee County ATC Future Business Leaders Attend
National Fall Leadership Conference in Baltimore
 
            Twelve Future Business Leaders of America students from the Kentucky Tech-Lee County Area Technology Center along with Principal Craig Herald and Advisor Becky Mullins attended the National Fall Leadership Conference held in Baltimore, Maryland on November 6 and 7. These students included Peggy Barker, Mary Combs, Hallie Cornett, Desiree Evanoff, Ricky Farler, Whitney Harrison, Robbie Moore, Nevin Olinger, Latasha Ross, Maleeia Silcox, Shannon Spencer, and Thomas Vanderpool. Students participated in various leadership workshops and attended two general sessions with nearly 5,000 students from across the nation. The general sessions focused on positive body language and caring about other people; focusing outside of self. 
           

Author visits Automotive Students Mr. Halderman and Mr. Lucas
 Mr. Lucas, automotive instructor, and students at the Lee County Area Technology Center recently had a visit from Mr. James Halderman, author of automotive textbooks used in the class. Students enjoyed visiting with Mr. Halderman and talking about their future careers.
