SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

 

The Johnnie Green Foundation Scholarship will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Senior.  Applicants must have a 2.5 g.p.a., must be planning to attend college/school/military, must be active in the community,  must demonstrate leadership abilities, and must be active  in one or more clubs/organizations. Applications may be picked up in Mr. Stickler’s office and due to Mr. Stickler by Monday, May 7, 2018.

 

The Johnnie Green Perseverance Scholarship will award a scholarship to a graduating Senior. Applicants must have 3.0 g.p.a, must participate in an LCHS sport, must be active in the community, and must be involved in at least two clubs/organizations.  Applications may be picked up in Mr. Stickler’s office and submitted to Mr. Stickler by Monday, May 7,  2018.

 

The Lee County Educational Foundation will reward five $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors planning on attending college. Applicants must have a 2.0 or above, have completed a FAFSA form, show financial need, and working toward a 4 year degree.  Students must also participate in an interview for the scholarship.  Applications are available in Mr. Stickler’s office and are due to Mr. Stickler by Friday, May 4, 2018.

 

Torrent Lodge No. 711 F&AM will award a scholarship to a LCHS Senior. Applicants must have  a 2.5. Applications may be picked up from Mr. Stickler and are back to Mr. Stickler by the end of the day on Friday, May 4, 2018.

 

The Taylor Lainhart Academic Excellence Scholarship will award a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior. Applicants must have a 3.0 gpa and a 20 composite on the ACT and be accepted at a college/university.  Application deadline is Monday, May 7, 2018. Applications are available in Mr. Stickler’s office.

 

The Bobcat Dairy Bar 2018 Senior Scholarship is the amount of $250 for one Senior that plans to attend a college, university, or technical school in Kentucky.  Application’s may be picked up in Mr. Stickler’s office and submitted to Mr. Stickler by Monday, May 7, 2018.

 

The Passionately Pink Scholarship will reward a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior. Applicants must have a 2.5 gpa, be enrolled in a college/technical school for Fall 2018, and plan to pursue a health related career. Applications are available in Mr. Stickler’s office and must be returned to Mr. Stickler by Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

 

The Lee County Schools F.L.Dupree Scholarship will reward a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Senior. Applicants must be a first generation college-bound student and exhibit academic success, financial need, involved in school organizations, community service, and leadership. Applications are available in Mr. Stickler’s office and must be returned to Mr. Stickler by Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

 

KASA Kentucky’s Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Jim Evans is sponsoring a onetime $2500 scholarship to a graduation LCHS Senior. Applicants must be ranked in the upper 20 percent of the graduating class, demonstrate financial need, and have a commitment of serving others. Applications may be picked up in Mr. Stickler’s office and submitted by Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

 

The Beattyville Woman’s Club will be awarding a $500 scholarship to a senior girl who desires to go to college and has a financial need.  The applicant should have a B+ average and a composite of 19 on the ACT.  Applications may be picked up in Mr. Stickler’s office and are due to Mr. Stickler by Friday, May 4, 2018.

 

The Lee County Kiwanis Club is sponsoring two $500 scholarships. There will be one given to a male and one to a female.  Applicants must complete an application and meet specific scholarship guidelines. Applicants are required to attend one Kiwanis meeting(Every Tuesday at 6:00 at Happy Top).  Application deadline is Monday, May 7, 2018. The Lee County Masonic Scholarship Fund will reward a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior that plans on attending college/technical school after graduation.  Students must complete an application and write a two page essay.  Applications may be picked up in Mr. Stickler’s office and must be returned to Mr. Stickler by Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

 

The Lee County Farm Bureau will award four scholarships to seniors pursuing a degree at a college/university.  Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA, be a child of a Lee County Farm Bureau member, and be a resident of Lee County.  Applications may be picked up at the Lee County Farm Bureau office on Main Street and must be returned to Rick Johnson the Lee County Farm Bureau Office no later than Tuesday, May 8, 2018. The 2018 B. Davis Scholarship is in the amount of $1,000 for a graduating Senior. Seniors may apply at http://www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm Application deadline is May 22, 2018.

 

The 2018 Walker Morgan Scholarship will award a $2500 scholarship to graduating Senior. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and must have been or have family members personally affected by an injury of some type. Seniors may apply at https://www.walkermorgan.com/#scholarship-application. Deadline to apply is May 31, 2018.

 

Fleming Attorneys is sponsoring an essay scholarship for Seniors. Seniors may apply at flemingattorneys.com/undergraduate-scholarship.

 

The United Energy Workers Healthcare is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Senior. The UEW Healthcare EEOICPA Scholarship deadline is July 31, 2018. The application can be found at the following address: https://www.uewhealth.com/eeoicpa-reca/#scholarship-application

 

Kaufman & Stigger, PLLC: Alberta C. Kaufman Scholarship will award a $500 scholarship to a graduating Senior. Applicants must have a 3.0 gpa, plan to pursue a degree after graduation, and submit an essay telling about someone who influenced your life in a positive manner and how that will have an impact on your life.
